Though admittedly not a huge fan of the ocean itself, I am visually intrigued by the area where the water and land collide: the beaches and coastal areas.  The interaction of these two great earth elements provides an amazing array of images of both naturally occurring and man-made artifacts.  There is amazing power and incredible delicacy in this relatively narrow strip of land which has always fascinated me. 

Now that I live along the coast in Southern California there ought to be a continuing supply of new images to fish for...
