DEMO SHOTS FOR
BLACK-LINE GLASS

Shot #1.  Angle is too high and we are looking down at the glass shelf so the camera will be lowered for shot 2

Shots #1 and #2 have a single light (strobe in 10" matte reflector) aimed at the gray wall behind the glassware.

Camera: Canon 5D with Zeiss Hasselblad 80mm Planar.

Shot #2. Angle of shot is lowered so that it is straight on to glass shelf.
Shot 3.  Reflector is added (in the form of a softbox) to show glass shape. (After looking at it I think I prefer it without the reflection in this case.)

NOTE:  The 80mm lens is still wide enough that although it is aimed straight at the bottom it is looking UP at the class rims.  If the glasses were full of something it probably would not matter, but since they are empty it is a little weird.  The solution is to go to a longer lens (I would have tried a 150mm next) and moved back to see if I could look straight on to both top and bottom.
