| Lighting 
    Demo: 2/26/08. The subject is a A pair 
    of old harmonicas to demonstrate lighting of highly reflective objects. 
    Backdrop is black velvet. The shot was taken with a Canon 5D using an 85mm F1.8 EF lens at F20 with Norman Studio Strobes as the lighting. One softbox through a diffusion light panel was used 1. This is the original shot as it came from the camera plus minor levels and curves adjustments

| 2. For this exposure a scrim made of folded plastic screening was laid on the diffusion panel to create the dark area on the plate of the top harmonica. |

| 3. As an experiment, the scrim roll was widened and made thinner to cover more of the plate and make the dark area a little lighter. |

| 4. An orange gel was added to the scrim roll to show the effect of adding color to the shot. |
